Chennai, India: December 17-December 27 ($1,230)

Spend 10 exciting days serving on the coast of Tamil Nadu in a community devastated by the 2004 tsunami. You will live and eat like locals and serve at a school and tsunami rehabilitation center in the village of Pudupattinam. Give of yourself to enrich the lives of orphans and leprosy colony residents. Teach children and help build and paint at the center as you interact with the local community.

New Delhi, North India: December 17-December 30 ($1,230)

Join the HOPE worldwide team for two weeks in the capital of India, serving in many of HOPEworldwide programs you've heard about. Spend a week serving at the Tigri School and vocational training program located in one of the largest slums in Asia. The next week you will serve at the Village of HOPE, a leprosy rehabilitation center, teaching, bandaging wounds, painting and building. On Christmas Day, visit the homes of disciples from the New Delhi Church. Experience life in one of the most vibrant cities of the developing world. Also included is a day trip to the Taj Mahal!

Payments and Fundraising

All HOPE Youth Corps members are required to raise the necessary funds to attend HYC. Prices for each HYC session are posted above and flight costs are not included unless noted otherwise. Program fees are due in full by close of business (5pm ET) on Wednesday, October 1, 2014. Should you fail to submit your payments in full before the final deadline, your spot is subject to cancellation. Volunteer payments submitted after the payment deadline will be subject to a 20% late fee. The 20% penalty is calculated from the total amount owed to HOPE worldwide. There will also be a post-service payment penalty of $100 (flat rate for all payments coming in after HYC ends). We strongly advise making the final payment deadline and communicating to HOPE worldwide any financial complications.
